Not only that, but if they ever made the caterpillars docking node (the white box from way back when) you can toss that in and have additional methods of docking to one another as well as a large cargo storage area. It would literally be a player made space station and is scalable. Once docking becomes a thing you can link up with a bunch of other Endeavors with different modules that compliment yours and shore up where your weak at. At least a couple dozen TESTies here probably have the ship and various modules to go with. So I just bought myself an Endeavor and had a wonderful thought. I'm not quite sure what you'd do with the hangar when you're just farming, but there is probably some sort of magical benefit I'm overlooking. The hangar module could be your showroom. Or maybe you're a traveling snubs salesman, selling custom overclocked snub craft. Or maybe you're just there as part of a larger convoy providing a landing platform for smaller ships. The detached head of the craft can then fly around the system selling the ore. Or perhaps you're ferrying couple of cutlass blacks around selling drugs.Īlso I'm fairly sure you could carry around two prospectors, turning the Endeavor into mobile base for mining operations. Organize a race through a wormhole.Ĭarrying cargo (assuming they'll add some sort of cargo modules) you'll want that escort for security. Or you're science vessel and want few Reliant Sens, Pisces is totally awesome tho.)Ĭlick to expand.I'd say whatever you do with it, you want the hangar module.Įither you're floating hospital and need those cutlass reds to ferry patients,
(Shame I missed the Carrack one, but well, I think Carracks landing deck ended up being kinda disappointing, so.
#Star citizen endeavor upgrade
nah, I'm rushing off to upgrade my gemini to BMM. Now I'll just be patient and wait to see which one will be the most bene. Truth be told, I bought / have bought all the CCUs from my Gemini to ships at around $350 mark, and I got to the Hercules as well. Thirdly, I rather like that the ship can just detach the front section. Besides, if any ship can hold out until those combat assistance beacons yield results, it's a capital ship with escorts.
Whatever you're doing, a ship with capital shields and a proper escort you can launch from the ship? That's pretty good combination security wise. 2 cutlasses or up to 4 smaller ships? Insanity.
Or at least some sort of support module that increases the amount of cargo the ship can carry, I think they'll eventually figure that it'll make more sense that if the ship produces material, it might need a place to store that material. I'm virtually certain that eventually there will be one. And while there is a nice science/medicine set of modules for it already, there seems to be lacking a dedicated cargo module. It's basically the definition of modular. I'm in no rush to apply it, but I think there is a decent chance Endeavor will get even more interesting than it currently seems.įirstly, it's designed to be very modular. Which is why I bought the CCU from my Gemini to Endeavor. And there isn't really any new information about the ship itself, apart from it being one of the last remnants of the rapidly dwindling stock of ships that were designed and priced before the current pipeline was finished, and virtually all of those ships, especially the larger ones, have seen huge improvements. Okey, there has likely been discussion and speculation on the subject before.
